TANAKA MASATO (3-4D kinetic arts creator)
Masato Tanaka was born in 1961 in Yokohama, Japan. Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts ( B.A. in Design 1985, M.A. 1987) Masato set out in various ways of arts (exhibition, commercial display, stage art, etc.) without distinction between design and any arts. Masato creates kinetic installation art that are composed by using some elements of mechanics and the fluctuation rhythm of nature through his own unique style and technique. The main theme of Masato’s work is direction of some artistic atmosphere that prompts relaxation & comfort with calling native latent curiosity of human beings, and he always aims to develop his flexible fields in inside and outside of Japan variously with proposing the original concept he calls "playground of one's eyes" without stereotyped expression way.
